    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Not what I expected - but loved the learning curve and wouldn't change a thing.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Became an invaluable member of my team - felt like much more than just an intern. I didn't make a single cup of tea!!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Never afraid to ask if I didn't understand something - all very supportive.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Touch and go with testing - a lot of down-time due to environments failing, but then other times there was too much.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Filled the role of an analyst, not intern, and often undertook tasks done by consultants too.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Have not started uni yet - but know that this was a life-changing experience and I will benefit much more from having done it rather than going straight to uni. Will value my time more, and feel much more rounded and accomplished.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Bit hard to always be good in a basement with no windows working long hours, but the people were great and someone was always laughing and picking the rest up.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Bit shabby to start off with - HR admin wasn't great, but overall it was very well done.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Given great opportunities to develop yourself by getting involved with socities, activitites on projects, charity days etc. I had the chance to spend a month in Madrid which was an incredible experience that added value and excitement to my time!

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • National Travel

    International Travel

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Bit put off from not having got onto the sponsorship scheme they offered as it went against the feedback from my project - but would definitely consider persuing a career here.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Regular intern events, both through Accenture and personally organised. All in it together!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Life on expenses on an out of town project was rather luxurious!

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Horsham doesn't have a club... but team meals, house parties and Crawley nearby if we were desperate kept us going.

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Could have socialised every night if I had wanted to. Also running clubs, organised events like bowling and breakfasts.

    5/5
