The Role
Had a really enjoyable time - have learnt so much and gain skills that will be so valuble for university. Would happily come back to accenture
On my first role i was definitely 'the intern' - there to do the boring jobs and help out, not really any huge amount of responsibility though my team were lovely and i had a brilliant 'buddy'. my second project gave me more reponsibility and i felt less like the intern - more like an analyst.
on the whole pretty good - my HR reps were very helpful to answer questions though you could obviously tell they were very busy as sometimes it was quite difficult to get hold of them
my first project was infrequent, sometimes the work was very menial - was sometimes quite bored though the hours were comfortably 9 - 5.30/6. my second project worked me much harder and the hours were very long sometimes - though i really enjoyed the work and got on really well with my team
my first project didnt give me masses - though i was in charge of the boring jobs that needed to be done - though i would have like to have been more involved with the less menial work! my second projct treated me more like an analyst and gave me a lot of responsibily - i produced two sets of process flows that were shown to the client and used in reports.
I can use microsoft office, including visio and project, competently in addition to some more complicated computer systems. generally i feel more confident and mature - able to manager different people and sotuations i think i will be more prepared and focused for univerity - after experiencing the real world i am definitely looking forward to it!
