The Role
I felt like I was valued by my team and wider colleagues and not just considered as a student. In my role I frequently had people ask me to help them with projects and work.
I had frequent 121s with my manager as well as quarterly reviews, these ensured that I was being provided with the support and feedback I required to do the job. As a team we also had monthly team meetings and as we sat together if I ever had a question all I had to do was ask.
The department was always extremely busy even during typically quieter periods such as holiday time. I was given plenty of tasks and projects to keep me busy, but my manager ensured I still received support with these if required.
I was given plenty of responsibility and produced some key pieces of material for the department.
The skills I have developed at Baxter will be invaluable in any graduate role I enter.
The Company
The office is usually very busy, it can be quite loud at times, but generally it's a very energetic place.
The placement programme has been well organised, there were frequent meetings and I knew what to expect from the year.

Baxter runs a Sales and Marketing Graduate scheme which is open to all of its placement students.
The Culture
The cost of living and socialising in the area was very expensive. However if you are happy to move a little bit further away from Compton, places like Reading are very reasonable.
The office is situated in a small village in Berkshire, there are a few pubs in the area which provide you with nice food, but there is not much of a nightlife.
There's a lot of opportunities. During my time at Baxter I have been involved in Baxter's annual fundraising show, volunteering for Baxter's charity of the year, run with a team for the Great South Run, gone to activities organised by the social committee and the Christmas party.
