About You
I really enjoyed it, it was great meeting the other interns and employees. The activities were also very enjoyable and the presentations were very insightful and interesting.
Every employee at HSBC spoke to me and other interns like we were on the same level as them, and gave us respect. This reflected the HSBC culture.
A lot of guidance and support, we were given an answer to any questions we had in the many opportunities to network. We were provided with advice if needed and a lot of support.
The networking skills can be used anywhere in life when meeting people, and has given me a greater idea of how to network. The experience of working in a team with other interns I had just met on some of the activities was also a valuable experience that can be used when working with others.
The Company
Very organised, we had a structure and plan to each day and we did everything that was planned.
Exciting, we were continually doing something and doing new things, and meeting new people so it was very exciting.
We developed a lot of knowledge into the bank and divisons, and developed skills in working in a team on unfamiliar tasks and networking.
Very much, we were provided with this insight through divisional presentations, activities and the opportunity to speak to employees.
Very much so again, this was shown by the employees we spoke to.
Very helpful, I now know which division I want to work in! The different department presentations allowed me to compare each division and decide which was best for me.
Everything Else
Reimbursed expenses on travel costs, although others living outside of London receive accommodation.
Yes there were two networking evenings - drinks at a bar, and a dinner. Also during the day we could ask questions to anyone that gave a presentation.
Very good, there was time for everyone to speak to as many people as they wanted to and ask as many questions as they had. The atmosphere was also very comfortable.
Yes when networking, I found out a lot about this, and that even M&A analysts fit time in to go to the gym and have a social life to an extent.
Definately, anyone doing it will benefit.
