About You
It was an extremely enjoyable and informative week long programme engaging us students into the world of investment banking .
The firm structured the insight so that it was dedicated for us to learn through lots of different presentations and exercises.
The employees of UBS were always at hand for when we had any questions so it was simple for us to go for them for guidance and there was always a port of call given on the information sheet.
There were a number of skill based exercises and presentation which were indirectly linked to investment banking but could overall be effective and useful in all aspects of life.
The Company
The Human Resources definitely put a lot of effort into planning and structuring the insight as everyday was full of various activities so that no one day was the same.
The other students were also extremely engaged so that we had a lot of fun learning and it was so much as a competition to outperform each other.
Learning and resources were provided from day one and we were given specific tests to help us make sure that we had a good understanding of the knowledge.
Through various business-speaker series which were given from a range of divisions it offered the ability to explore the other functions of an investment bank not just our own.
It was great to be immersed in the culture their as it was so unique and different to that of one at university.
I think through the presentations and speaking to individual employees will be the most important parts in helping me decide my future career.
Everything Else
It was unpaid.
On the schedule was structured so that during lunches and also after work events were both inclusive of various networking events.
They were both relaxed and sometimes intense as students wanted to ask many questions and sometimes would be difficult to express your view.
I wasn't able to find out this, but I'm sure there are many.
Definitely, it was a great week experience of the industry in a top firm understanding if the role is suitable for your skill set
