About You
This was a valuable insight to both the firm and the industry with many opportunities (and expectation) to contribute to learning exercises.
Barclays clearly values and invests in potential future employees.
The insight centred around learning and the quality of that part of the experience was high.
The skills and information were highly valuable for working towards a career in the industry.
The Company
The structure was well-organised and full, making excellent use of a short period.
For everyone who enjoys working under some pressure, the teamwork involved was an enjoyable experience.
Barclays were clearly keen to invest in interns and to direct them towards a future career with Barclays.
This was largely very good, perhaps with less work shadowing than some would have liked.
The insight helped as much as was possible for a short and distanced internship.
The insight was vital for confirming my choice.
Everything Else
Given the quality of the experience, expenses were sufficient.
The opportunity to meet staff was excellent and I would have appreciated even more time.
Networking was valuable to hear the experiences of current employees.
Activities outside of work were omitted from the structured content of the insight, though there was opportunity to ask individuals.
This would be very valuable for anyone considering a career in the industry.
