About You
This was an extremely long day but well thought out by PwC! I enjoyed the different activities that we got to work on within a team!
It felt a little mechanical to the extent that the staff had done this plenty of times before and that it may have lost its zeal, so I didn't quite feel valued as such.
We had a little guidance after the team activities and through presentations about the business.
I would say that it gave me a clearer picture of where I want to direct my career path in the future.
The Company
Very very well structured. To the extent that you could tell that they've been running it for years.
The atmosphere was okay. I felt that towards the beginning it was a little intense not knowing all the other delegates but this eased off towards the end of the day.
The firm invested in us by not only providing us lunch, but also through numerous presentations by senior members of staff which was really insightful.
Unfortunately due to it only being a 1 day experience, I did not get a good idea about what it would be like to have a full time role with the company.
I really liked the PwC culture and it was evident why they are the number 1 accountancy firm.
It gave me a good idea. Personally I am still torn between this and banking but we shall see!
Everything Else
My travel expenses were reimbursed shortly after the event.
There was a brief opportunity to meet some graduates during lunch!
Aside from lunch due to it being a 1 day event there were no networking opportunities.
No one actually brought up this question but I suspect as with most firms there would be a spot of football or so.
It was a good way to spend one day during the Easter Holiday. A day away from revision is always a bonus.
