About You
I really enjoyed it! I learnt a lot about the different career options that Citi offers which will benefit me in the future.
Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and informative.
We had a lot of help, there was always someone on hand each day to answer questions and offer support.
The placement was invaluable. It gave me a lot of information that will be useful when applying for future placements at Citi and elsewhere. It also gave me a better understanding of the different job roles in a business like Citi and a better idea of how I can utilise my degree after I graduate.
The Company
Very, we were given a timetable on the first day that outlined all of our activities during the week.
Great atmosphere, colleagues had a good rapport with each other and were all very welcoming to the placement students.
Many colleagues gave up their time to talk to us and answer questions and Citi also arranged a team building afternoon to develop our skills. They also provided us with tips on writing a good CV and job interviews.
Many people from different teams came to talk to us about their job and their day to day role in the company which gave us a better understanding of the workload.
We learnt a lot about Citi's culture through videos, presentations and talking to the staff. A recurring quote was 'Citi never sleeps' which highlighted that Citi is a global company.
It really helped as it made me realise how varied my options are when choosing my future career. It confirmed that IT/finance is the field I want to work in.
Everything Else
It was an unpaid 4 day placement.
We had the opportunity to network with employees who held a wide range of roles within the company. We spent a day and a half meeting different employees to gain a better understanding of their job roles and had the opportunity to ask all of them questions.
There were different event opportunities every day e.g. lunch with current placement students, a talk about the different social activities in Citi, meeting with employees to learn about their roles and the company.
Yes we had lunch with an employee who told us about all of the different social activities on offer at Citi.
definitely it was invaluable.
