About You
Had the invaluable opportunity to get hands on experience and had the chance to speak to operative people amongst all the different levels of management.
People took their time off work to sit down and speak to me and really wanting me to learn the different aspects of their job.
I had support given to me, both formal and informal, during the whole insight.
I believe that the skills I developed and the information I received were 100 % relevant, most due to the fact that I was taught in a place were it all happened which put it all into perspective.
The Company
At the start of the insight we had more guidance as in product based lectures and formal rotations, but as the program went by, the interns had more free time which made room for more interaction based on your own interest. That gave me the time to go into depths with aspects of the work that I was most interested in, but with a good solid foundation.
The whole program was very intense, which in the beginning could be be challenging to adapt to - but when you got familiar with how things went by, you couldn't get enough.
You really would get the sense that the firm placed high value in the insight program, which was experienced from day one.
I would say as much as a insight program could make you understand. The program included a lot of rotations and speaking to numerous of different people - but since the program itself was not focused on any specific area of products, as an intern you more or less people working with all the different products.
I believe that the people I met during the program really got me to understand what it means to work at this firm.
From an academic point of view it's very hard to know what business you would like to spend your future in, this program gave me that answer. I now know where my future career path is.
Everything Else
This adds to the fact that the firm values their interns. Joining the insight program brought now problems at all concerning accommodation etc, it all was sorted out for you.
Most of my days during the program I spent time networking and meeting people from the firm.
They were great, not so many formal social events. But continuously though out the day you got to meet people and network.
The firm offered plenty of opportunities to get involved outside of the work.
Will definitely recommend this insight program to a friend.
