About You
I really enjoyed getting to know more about Ernst & Young and learning more about some of the skills I've picked up along the way.
We were well looked after and the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout the four days. I was really surprised as it felt that they were really taking a genuine interest into what we were doing!
I received a lot of really useful feedback after the tasks which were set on a daily basis. I think this was really supportive!
As the insight says it is a leadership academy and I felt that they focused a lot on the leadership skills. This is an area which I would say I have improved in and will take forward through university.
The Company
The days were well structured and there were chances in the evening to unwind.
It was a great atmosphere. At times, a little tense, especially in the activities as you can't not help notice that they are grading your performance but ont he whole it had a good atmosphere
Ernst & Young spent a lot of time developing us throughout the four days. It's training which I would have never received if I didn't get onto this insight.
The tasks simulated the working environment, but at the same time the presentations took the effect of a full time job away!
I got the feeling the Ernst & Young's culture really stands out compared to the other big 4 (in my opinion!). Everyone I met had only good things to say!
I have definitely found my calling and will be applying for the internship.
Everything Else
In addition to expenses, we were also provided travel, meals and accommodation.
There were numerous opportunities in the evening with regular socials, chances to network with other leadership academy students and Ernst & Young staff.
I really enjoyed them. At first it did seem quite daunting to speak with partners over a drink but once I got over the initial phase I felt it was okay! The opportunities were a good experience to get to know more about the company in a relaxed atmosphere.
I didn't get the chance to ask employees this as there was jsut so much to talk about.
I would recommend this to anyone! It was a great few days away from revision.
