About You
JP Morgan Winning Women program was an amazing three-day program - I learned so much about the financial industry and really got to know the culture at JP Morgan. I know that I definitely want to go into a career in finance as I had the best time at the Winning Women program, and I now know that the investment banking industry is where I want to be.
Everyone at JP Morgan, from the analysts to the senior executive, made me feel comfortable and like they really wanted to get to know me and know what I had to say. It was a very inviting atmosphere and although I was nervous about the networking lunches, they were actually some of the most rewarding aspects of the program.
The program was very well organized, with a lot of guidance as to what we were required to do and where we were supposed to be. We were also given all of materials that enabled us to follow along with some of the more complex financial topics, as we
I learned so much about the financial industry - things that I never could have read in a book about finance. Everything that I learned during the program added to my expanding knowledge of the finance industry
The Company
The program was expertly structured over the three days in order to give us an insight in to each division of JP Morgan's investment banking divisions. The speeches were just long enough to give us enough information about each division, but not too long that they were dull or boring. Each day was split up into skills sessions, speeches from senior execs and analysts, and trading games. There were also ample coffee breaks and snacks throughout the day.
I met such nice people during the program - both who worked at JP Morgan and other girls who were attending the spring program. I never felt uncomfortable, or nervous, or like I didn't belong. It was honestly such an amazingly inviting, stimulating, and inspirational atmosphere that left me feeling like I had learned a lot, met amazing people, and gotten to know more about the real JP Morgan.
The program really invested in each and every participant as everyone was paired with a mentor and given the opportunity to ask many questions.
As the program is only three days long, there wasn't much opportunity to get to know first-hand what it would be like to work at JP Morgan full time. Employees, however, were very honest about the long hours and stressful aspects to the job.
The fact that everyone was so nice to three-day interns showed that JP really cares about its employees.
Everything Else
JP Morgan was really good about reimbursing travel expenses and accommodation throughout the duration of the program.
There were many networking lunches with senior executives, associates and analysts, and mentors that enabled you to speak to many various people across the firm.
I was initially very nervous about the networking opportunities, but everyone was so nice and just wanted to get you know you and talk to you about why you are interested in finance.
There are many networking opportunities within JP Morgan that allow people to connect and build relationships across the firm.
Yes, I would most definitely recommend an JP Morgan's Insight programs to anyone who is interested in the financial industry. It was an amazing opportunity and I learned so much.
