About You
It was great fun to meet so many new people at the Talent Academy. The exercises were enjoyable, challenging, and interesting.
The PwC staff were really friendly, and it was clear they were definitely interested in employing us in the future.
It was always clear what was required, and the staff were helpful and articulate.
The 'Core Competencies' that we worked on are universally applicable, and overlap with the competencies required for many other companies and industries. We worked on both soft inter-personal skills and business skills, such as making decisions and evaluating a company.
The Company
Each day had a clear structure, which we were told in advance. It was really busy, but the day was broken up into well managed and good-length sections.
Everyone was really enthusiastic, both the staff and the other students, and everyone was really keen to learn and get the most from the 3 days. This was infectious and created an enjoyable atmosphere.
The venue was great, all food and board provided, and there were a range of staff involved.
Whilst it gave a great indication, it didn't obviously didn't actually include doing any work for the firm, therefore limiting its usefulness in determining what a full time job will be like.
I met a lot of different people who work at PwC, including Partners.
Gave me an insight into the world of financial services, and made me sure that it was an industry I am interested in.
Everything Else
Food and board provided, and money reimbursed for travel.
There was a dinner with Partner's and Directors, and also a drinks evening with a range of PwC employees.
I really enjoyed it.
Not a huge amount of detail was given about this, though we were told that such opportunities existed.
Was such an enjoyable and interesting 3 day program.
