The Role
Hard work but totally enjoyable
They are so used to interns and grads, they treat you as equal.
I've been fortune to have some great managers, who are both helpful and aspirational.
Extremely busy at L'Oreal - everything is hectic and fast paced - but that challenges you and teaches you so much.
Huge responsibilities - as well as others, was given total ownership of a project worth approx £3m in sales.
I take a non-business degree so not relevant
The Company
People work really hard, not a great work life balance. However the typical employee is sociable, driven and good to be around.
The internship is a scheme that's been going for several years and is very well established. Some bumps along the way, but there always is!
Offered lots of training opportunities, most of what is on offer to full time employees is available.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
There's a grad scheme that around 50% of the interns get places on, performance dependant.
The Culture
Lots of like minded graduates and interns!
It's well known that London is expensive, but you do ajust to not going out several times like a uni - you're often too tired from work, but the opportunities are there.
If you are good at budgeting and can afford it, London is really unbeatable for options.
There's an 'intern committee' with standard positions such as social sec and magazine editor, but L'oreal also offer lots to employees: yoga, chior, squash, netball, football, zumba..
