  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I found my placement at Tesco very enjoyable! The work was interesting and every project was different

    • My team were very welcoming and I felt they really valued my contribution

    • My manager was very supportive and I had as much guidance and advise that I needed/wanted

    • I always had something to do, there were some quiet period where I had the opportunity to focus on my project work but these are easily balanced out with the peaks in workload that I experienced!

    • I was given the same responsibility as any other member of my team

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • My experience at Tesco was invaluable to me - I can see the change in myself have a new skill set I can take anywhere

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • The atmosphere was generally very good, although I worked in a very busy department everyone was very friendly, always had time to talk to you and have a laugh and a joke

    • I thought it was set up very well - I was also put in contact with the other placement students to discuss living arrangements

    • Tesco invests a lot into the development of its employees and placement students are not left out!

    • I would definitely consider coming back and working for Tesco

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There were lots of other placement students and graduates to socialise with - as well as team days/nights out

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • The area I was based in is quite an expensive place to live but there are other options if your prepared to go a little bit further

    • The immediate area is ok to go out, but I was only a short train journey away from London!

    • There were quite a variety of charity events you could get involved with! As well as the social stuff
