The Role
The year has flown bye! From start to finish I felt like a valued member of the team and was challenged and given projects beyond what I would have originally expected. The company culture is great too.
Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful, such a great team and despite the large size of the office you never felt unknown.
The line managers trust you to get on with your tasks and jobs but offer support if you ever have questions and despite their busy schedules will always fit you in.
Never bored but lots of tasks/projects to balance.
Far more responsibility than I could have imagined! Was given the opportunity to lead projects and present to senior management no a regular basis.
Developed skills in all areas including teamwork, leadership, presenting, excell, budgeting and design to name but a few.
The Company
It's a fast paced retail environment with a strong work hard play hard philosophy.
Very well organised, never felt like an intern but rather a permanent member of staff.
Were given training on the products and market which was great but otherwise no real organised training but rather learning as you go.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare from home
Still waiting to hear about the graduate scheme or any entry level jobs, but the support and communication is good.
The Culture
There is an intern committee which organises social events at least every month and then Bar 255 at the end of every month for all staff which, is great.
Normal London prices.
There are a few bars and pubs with clubs just a short train/bus ride away.
There are plenty of sporting activities and teams to get involved with in L'Oreal such as an inter company squash league, football team, hockey team, netball etc.
