    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had weelky meetings with my managers which meant I could keep up to date with all of the work I was given, and voice any issues that I had

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was very busy, there were times when I worked through lunch, or stayed far later but this was part of the job, and I enjoyed it immensly, if I did not enjoy what I did then I may have been complacent with smallr workloads, but by completeing tasks I was given more work and this made me feel valued and appreciated, it gave me more chance to enhance my skills

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given huge amounts of responsibility, one of my main tasks was to organise the handover of 50 vehicles to Manchester United players and staff, this was a huge responsibility that I was very proud to be part of as I ran huge parts of the even

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was fun, I got along with all of my colleagues and we were able to have a laugh and joke at the same time as doing serious work.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement could have been more organised, there werew things we attended which I did not deem important, and things happened very last minute but overall it was set up well

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had training at the beginning and CAP (way of assessing) which allowed me to discuss problems and strengths. Mdirect managers and teamwere fantastic at giving feedback and helping me develop personally

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Car

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I loved aspects of my job but I want the experience of working abroad, this is nothing against the job I was doing as I was chanllenged and loved every minute, but I would want to do a year abroad before settling into a job again. After that I would consider future employment with GM.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Lots was done at the beginning to settle in and get to know people, and again as a final goodbye at the end of the year, we were also helped to find homes with our fellow undergrads which helped with the social scene

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The rent for a double room was £330 with all bills a month, however as I liver 3 hours away communting home and back was a big cost, the general area as cheap to go out and live

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was not great, only one or two clubs and a few bars but it was local enough to the station to go to London or other areas for bar crawls or just general nights out

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not very many, work was work and if we wanted to do other things we could arrange them ourselves, it was very much like being at university, in your own time you do the things that you want to to when you want to do them

    3/5
