The Role
As time went on and i developed more within the role I found the placement much more enjoyable. all in all a really good experience.
My team was fantastic. everybody is valued at the company and it shows from directors to cleaners.
My manager was a constant point of support and guidance and made sure I got the most of the placement by allowing me to develop in any aea I wanted. This included rtaailer/field team visits, visits toc ar and van shows and spoending time in other departments.
The workload can be quite a lot at times especially ath Month End/start of a new month. but generally manageable.
I was treated like a full member of staff and so the level of responsibility was that of a 'real' job. This is different from most places and is better as your'e not just seen as an intern but a full team member.
Everything I've learnt will be extremely valuable going forward and in terms of future career skills. Thjere is opportunity for optinal training actross the year sop mty powerpoint and excel skillls have majorly improved also.
The Company
Office was full of banter
Really well set up
Whatever I wanted to do in terms of this was approved and endorsed fuly by the company. Visits to various events across the country, working out of office with retailers, client vists, shows, Spending time in other areas of the company I was interested in are all some of the things ive experienced this year,
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
There isnt a graduate scheme as such but undergrads who performw ell have the chance to come back.
The Culture
Lots of events organised. Undergrad nights out.
Luton is cheap as chips rent for a really nice 3 story townhouse only paid £280
Luton is rubbish. but Watford and St Albans are ok and are relatively close. London is 20 mins away and is a great night out.
I play basketball with work and there are various opportunities to join teams and play socially out of office many sports. Team and department meals and activities such as go- karting are common also.
