The Role
At the start, the work was challenging, and you had to learn quickly, but this added to the excitement of the job
All my work colleagues trusted me to do the tasks that my previous undergraduate did, and therefore that makes you feel useful and valued
Any questions I asked my manager were answered immediately, and have helped me fulfill my duties on placement
There was a lot of work, but if you manage your time well, then you have no problems at all
I was responsible for all the running applications within the department, and so if anything went wrong, it was down to me. When the other members of the department were on holiday, I was in full control, and this is quite a responsible job
I have definitely developed my skills, and I can carry out projects a lot quicker now, than I could have 12 months ago
The Company
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
I believe there are good opportunities within certain departments, but not all departments
The Culture
Yeah, we would all meet and chill with friends. Good atmosphere
It was reasonably cheap in Luton, but most of the time, we would end up further afield, making it slightly more expensive
There is only one place in Luton....Liquid. To be honest, its not the greatest place to party, but it cold be worse
Yeah, you can pretty much go anywhere on the train from Luton, so there are plenty of things to do if you know where to look and go
