About You
This was my first experience working for a Big 4 and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
They trained us like future employees and this left a lasting impression.
There were about 15 members of staff always available to help us with anything we were unsure about.
The various tasks provided helped me improve my presentation skills and communication skills. It also got me thinking about working on my personal brand.
The Company
We had individual tasks and group activities throughout the 3 days and even though we didn't have a lot of free time, it was well structured and made sure that we had ample time off in between.
Literally the best time I have had working at a company. You were given the opportunity to work with students of similar caliber and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic- I really enjoyed the last day quiz and the networking events during the 3 days.
They had people from TeachFirst who did a presentation and a team game, we had dinners with partners who gave us an insight into what working for the company actually was like.
They guided us through what the career path of a graduate would be like and gave us very helpful advice on how we could further work on improving our skills.
PwC has consistently been in the list of the best places to work for, for a reason. I got the understanding that it was all about working as part of a team and helping others gain their potential.
There were exercises relating to real life scenarios and this helped me confirm that financial advisory was the path that was for me.
Everything Else
We had to sent receipts of expenses and they were reimbursed to us.
We had networking events and dinner with partners. This shows the commitment the company has in attracting the best candidates to them.
We were free to ask anything we wanted to and the partners were willing to give us all the information they were allowed to give. During the dinner, we got to sit with 3 partners and this gave us perspective from partners working in different departments.
They talked about various charity days the employees got involved in.
This is the best program a first year undergraduate can attend and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
