About You
Very interesting and I learnt a lot
The week was more focused of talks and exercises than being plunged into the company atmosphere.
I received all the help I needed.
I discovered whether or not the industry was for me and learnt some good presentation skills.
The Company
Time often ran on and our own breaks would come at the cost of it but otherwise good.
Friendly people and staff, fun activities - good
We were looked after very well, lovely accommodation and food and lunch! The conference centre was great as well, water always topped up and a bowl of sweeties on the table!
We were told in depth about the hours, the dedication and commitment needed. We also had a chance to job shadow.
We were spoken to by very high members of the bank, reinforcing their new values and culture that Barclays is offering. They are so dedicated to this by training all 140,000 staff for 3 hours in their new culture.
I left without questions and know what I want to do!
Everything Else
We received money to cover time and other expenses as well as separate travel expenses.
Lots of panels and chatting during breaks. We also had networking evenings.
These were lovely, great food, nice drink and plenty of opportunities to chat to fellow candidates, recruiters and employees.
This did not seem to be a large focus but it was clear employees had lives outside of the workplace.
Definitely worth a go, get a clearer image of the firm and industry whilst having fun!
