The Role
I worked with a great team of people and the office environment was generally fun and friendly.
My team always showed appreciation for my efforts.
My line manager and I have weekly meetings where I have the opportunity to raise any issues.
I was generally busy for most of the time on my placement. Although there were the odd few days where I was quiet.
I was given the opportunity to manage reasonably large projects.
I have learnt so much this year about myself and about Retail. These skills will most definitely help me in my future caerer.
The Company
I worked with a friendly bunch of people. Office environment was good.
I don't believe there was a set structure to my placement. My department was a fairly fast paced and things were always changing. However my work load was managed well as the year progressed.
We had a supportive Learning and Development team. We had the opportunity to go on several learning and development days which were beneficial to our development.

Working from home
Whilst the Waitrose Graduate Scheme is appealing, it is disappointing that current placement students will not automatically be fast tracked to the interview stage.
The Culture
We met for lunch each Wednesday and went out for meals, drinks etc.
Fairly good in comparison to Guildford and London!
Pretty average...Reading offers a number of Bars Clubs Restaurants etc.
Waitrose has over 20 societies and sports clubs. There are a variety of different things to get involved with outside the day to day job.
