About You
I enjoyed the day as i felt that i learnt a lot about the job role and the activities that were done throughout the day i found really interesting and helped me learn about my own qualities.
I felt those involved with the day were really friendly and tried to get to know everyone on the day.
We received support on all matters that we were allowed help during the activities and were given a full briefing after the activities to show what we did well and what we could improve on.
I felt it was a helpful day that showed me what skills i should develop for future interviews or jobs.
The Company
The day was well structured and i felt we did a range of activities that involved a range of skills so the day was structured well.
I found it to be a really good atmosphere and enjoyed meeting the other students on the day and also the people that were helping out on the day were nice and helped me feel relaxed on the activities on the day
As it was an insight day there wasn't much training however as we received feedback after the activities it has allowed me to understand what i need to improve
I think it was quite a relevant day in terms of finding out what it would be like to work full time
The recruitment team helped me to understand how friendly the atmosphere at EY would be to work in and how helpful the team members were
I found that the day made me think a lot more about my career path as the main activity that we did i really enjoyed and could see myself doing a simliar job after university
Everything Else
I was paid for the travel expenses to get to the insight day, i went by train and have been reimbursed for the whole journey
we met the recruitment team and also people who worked within different areas of EY and also met students who were doing a year in industry so got the opportunity to mix with a variety of people and ask questions to both current and possible future employees
It was only a day long so werent many opportunities outside the day
I didnt find out much about the opportunities on the day but speaking to the current EY students who are on a year in industry and they said there are plenty of opportunities to network and meet other people the same age or a variety of ages around the firm.
I think if people are considering a career path in any of the areas at EY i would definitely recommend the insight day to them or even if they don't know what career path to go down i would recommend it as they may enjoy the opportunities within the company no matter what background
