The Role
I couldn't have asked for a better placement!
I always felt valued by my colleagues, due to the amount of time they invested in me during my training.
There was always someone who I could speak to if I had a problem.
I was never bored because I was always busy doing different tasks! The placement is for those seeking a challenge and a variety in job roles throughout the 48 weeks!
I was given a lot of responsibility - by the end of my placement I was running a Lidl store!
This placement will really help me in my final year of studies because of all the different experiences I have gained. I have learnt and improved skills which I can adapt to different job roles in the future.
The Company
There was never a dull moment during my placement! I always worked with talented and interesting people who worked hard and invested a lot of time with me and the other placement students.
Very organised.
They invested a lot in me! I was given the opportunity to take part in many different projects and work in different departments (stores, warehouse, admin, property, head office!). They really valued me as part of their business.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Future employment prospects with Lidl do appeal to me. If I was to be offered a job after university I would jump at the chance because it was a great company to work for for 48 weeks.
The Culture
Throughout the 48 weeks, we all met up about 4/5 times for training days and various events. We all got on really well and enjoyed sharing our experiences to one another!
Working in London was always going to be expensive. However, with the amazing experience I had, it was one which I would never change.
Always something to do or somewhere to go in London!
