The Role
Very dependent on the projects and the team.
All members of the team were expected to contribute and all the members relied on each other, however it was difficult to become very close in a short space of time and the team was very varied.
We were given as much support as we required, we knew that at all times we could recieve support if we required, however part of the project expects the team to work alone with little supervision.
To begin with we were not under so much pressure so did not push ourselves as far, however towards the end of the project we knew we had reports to complete and were very busy and worked long hours.
We were given full responsibility for our projects, however no-one had specific tasks we all took responsibility as a team.
I gained some very useful research skills and gained a large range of team working experience from the placement.
The Company
Atmosphere was very team dependent and my team were not always friendly, but mostly had a good atmosphere.
Placement was very well organised, no complaints, even organised a trip to the Scottish Parliament.
We had a full weeks training at the start of the programme where we learned team working as well as basic consultancy skills.
Only for students through scheme.
The Culture
Very good social scene as many of the students lived and went out together.
Glasgow is a student city so very cheap!
Glasgow has something on to suit everyone.
