The Role
I've enjoyed my placement at GE, primarily due to the amount of experience and exposure that Ive gained.
Valued by team. Commended many times. I gave and received advice on many occasions.
Management is great. My manager who is the Head of an area within IT, often found time for dealing with queries, advice about work/projects and would often consult on issues on projects.
Quite busy, as I've been working on multiple projects in a short time.
I was given responsibility and ownership on a few areas and projects, which helped me to dive deep into business processes and the 'correct' way of executing tasks.
It will help alot.
The Company
Very, very relaxed. Quality is prioritized.
From day one, It was very organised and well planned.
I mostly had on the job training, due to learning most of the time when I started. During my first few weeks, I got to shadow a few team members (including manager) to get an insight of what they each did.
