About You
It was an extremely interesting placement, which has left me very excited about a career in Financial Services.
Heard from a range of leading executives, and were well looked after by staff. All employees engaged with us, and provided useful information and feedback
Never alone, always someone nearby who could answer your questions.
Presentation skills and networking were very enhanced by this week. The opportunity to present in front of senior stakeholders and develop an individual business plan was extremely beneficial to my development
The Company
Can't think of any unnecessary downtime or dubious-quality activities.
Very good atmosphere, bank is back on the up again. Fellow interns were a fun bunch
A huge amount. Members of senior management, including the head of Barclaycard spoke to us at length in intimate question and answer sessions. Also received training in areas such as motivational skills, emotional intelligence, leadership and problem solving.
More time is necessary to achieve, but it did give us an insight
Very useful. We received a host of information on the financial sector, and where Barclays see the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead
Everything Else
Repaid travel expenses without query, accommodation was also paid for. Lunch provided
Several drinks events and lunch meetings
One afternoon at a hotel doing team exercises, followed by drinks and a BBQ.
Not really, but then we were only there for a week.
One of the best spring insights available.
