The Role
Working within Buying means every day is different which is love. I have had some great experiences through the year and worked with a great team of people!
From day one I felt like a vital member of our team and continue to feel as valuable as any other partner.
I felt supported in my role and was given feedback throughout my year with Waitrose enabling me to develop throughout.
Everyday is busy - I really enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
I feel I was given real responsiblity throughout my year.
I'm not sure if the skills I have learnt will equip me any differently for my final year at university however they will defiantely help me when in a graduate job role.
The Company
Our office has such a good environment, everyone is friendly and is always willing to help!
I felt the placement was organised really well prior to starting (networking events, inductions etc) however after starting it felt a little less organised.
We had a range of development days throughout the year as a group of placement students - they were really useful and I believe the scheme would benefit from more.

I would love to work for Waitrose in the future - I have really enjoyed my time here and will be extremely sad to leave. I however feel the current Graduate Scheme is too unstructured for me personally and doesn't allow me to pursue a career in Commercial, therefore I will unfortunately be looking elsewhere for Graduate recruitment but will hopefully return in the future!
The Culture
Social scene was good as I lived with a number of other placement students and the partnership benefits mean you can make the most of your evenings and weekends.
Cost of living and socialising are reasonable - I would recommend living in Reading rather than Bracknell.
In Bracknell...I don't think there is any nightlife! Reading is good as it's a student city!
Lots of different activities to get involved in there are numerous sports and activity clubs - really is something for everyone!
