The Role
All the staff and team have been really nice and made my experience more enjoyable.
I felt valued by my team and my efforts were always appreciated.
Management are always supportive and mentors are freely available, always having time for you.
Neutral, I felt stretched and pushed at times however my work load was never uncontrollable.
Tesco put alot of trust in you from day 1 which is nice because I felt really appreciated.
Definatly, this experience has provided me with invaluable experience at both a commerical and personal level.
The Company
If you have a good team that you get on well with then I think you can have fun and a more enjoyable experience, which fortunatly I did however I understand that if your not so lucky with your team then you can find the atmosphere is often quite tense.
The placement is set up really well with lots of supposrt and people to give advise from the very start.
There are endless training course that you can go on and the company spent alot on external training courses too to help your development.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I am hoping to get a job here afterwards and my boss has recommended me to HR so fingers crossed!!
The Culture
Fairly good, its hard to get so many people together but HR try and organise events too.
Standard, not as cheap as uni obviously however this is taken as a given.
Welwyn Garden City isn't great! However its not too close to London which is great. It's just hard to get home after a night out in London.
Don't really hear about much outside of work.
