The Role
I have enjoyed having a job and it is a great insite into future employment, the work has been interesting and relevent to university study
everyone is friendly and happy to help if you have any difficulties
I have a one to one with my manager every week, which is set up to review work and provided added support, also happy to go through university work
I have never felt like I have every had too much work that I can't cope, and I will always have some work to do as I have been given an ongoing project as well as supporting other engineers within my department.
As I was given my own projects to do throughout my placement year I was given sole responsibility to work on at and to impliment it into testing.
I think I have developed a few skills and knowledge to help towards my final year at university and also the experiance of what I can expect after university.
The Company
The office can be ratehr quite as everyone is busy working but there is always cakes!
The placement system at cummins is really good, as they ask the privious placement studens to stay a couple of weeks it really helps them first few days so you dont feel like your on your own.
There as been lots of training oportunities to get involved in related to the job role.

There is a bursary scheme, and most people I have spoken to who work here did a placement here first.
The Culture
Most of the placement students try to meet up for a meal at least once every 2 months
Depends where you want to live but renting wasn't too expensive
Its not great, but you dont have to travel too far to get to other towns and cities that have a good night life
There is a sports club at work that takes part in a few different sports
