The Role
It was an amazing experience
I quickly became a valued team member as my relationship with the operators on the assembly line led them to believe in my ability to respond and resolve promptly issues arising on the line. As a result of their belief i was always their first point of contact with any issues.
Support and guidance was really good
My day was never particularly the same, as different issues were seen on the line daily depending on engine type being built. I had activity filled days, from meetngs to design reviews, to assembly line support, to assembly line jig/tooling design and process document creation, my day was perfectly balanced.
I had the opportunity to manage my time and run projects with and without supervision
The experience gained is vital for my professional life as an engineer and will certainly be beneficial is my everyday life
The Company
A very cheerful atmosphere, encouraging enough to allow a good days' work
Organisation was perfect.
It felt like we were actual employees as we went for the necessary training required to perform all task in the job role.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Future employment is a possibility, as my contribution to the company didn't go unnoticed
The Culture
A lot of placement gatherings were arranged. Welcome parties, birthday gathering and lots more.
Cost of living was reasonable
Night life was alright, though there are not many options, the few available were well patronized
There was a fair amount activities available, some also arranged by Cuumins, like regular cycling trips.
