The Role
I really enjoyed my placement at We Brand It. I feel the work experience I have gained will prove invaluable to future employment.
At the start of my placement I did feel I was a valued team member. Towards the end of placement my job role changed and I often felt undervalued and like a spare part.
Everyone at We Brand It was happy to help whenever you needed them too.
There was always work to be done whether it was your own or helping others when they were busy.
I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility during my placement.
Everything I have learnt on placement will help me with future employment. It will also help me with my final year of university.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office is generally friendly. With so many students it was a very lively office to work in. If the company isn't on target the general office morale can be low but other than that it is a nice atmosphere.
Each student has a clear job role and knows help is available.
I feel that other than the two week training at the beginning of the placement any other training and development really depends on who you are working. There are some Business Development Managers which really help there Sales Co-Ordinators and know the system well whereas other Business Development Managers seem to know less than there co-ordinator.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
There is future job prospects if you are looking for a sales role but there is not much room to progress within the company.
The Culture
There is a great social scene as there is so many students working here. This is probably one of the biggest perks to the job as you are never bored.
As all bills and rent is included in your wage I feel that the cost of living is reasonable as you only have to buy food and pay for social events. I did have my car and the company paid my petrol expenses which was great. I do feel that the general wear and tear on your car isn't covered in the expenses though and some students lack serious respect for other students cars.
Maidenhead is an okay night out, There is one club which we always seemed to have a great time at! Also with London and Reading so close you can't really complain about the lack of nightlife in Maidenhead.
There was lots going on with the other interns which everyone was always involved in.
