  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Placement was very enjoyable with a large variation of projects.

  • I felt that people appreciated the quality of my work and my communication.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager had an excellent balance of support whilst giving me space to solve problems in my own style.

  • There were always individual projects to complete as well as supporting the production line.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Towards the end of my placement I was responsible for managing my own projects, dealing with contractors and resolving issues.

  • My communication and confidence have been tested from the beginning of the placement and I have massively developed my work ethic.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office has a jovial atmosphere and is an excellent environment to work in with great facilities, apart from the air conditioning and the lack of natural light

  • The placement had a clear overall structure with responsibilities made obvious.

  • I went on numerous training schemes and I was always told how to do something rather than somebody doing it for me.

  • Bursaries, summer placements and graduate jobs are all possibilities.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I knew many other students already as they are at the same university. Students organised meals, trips to the cinema, etc.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The rent and cost of drinks was cheap compared to the London prices I am used to.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Standard Wetherspoons in town. Leamington and Rugby are nice in the evening.

  • Cycling club started once the weather was better.
