The Role
Delcam is a good company, with flexible working hours, autonomy for the developpers and a general good atmosphere in the teams.
People are nice and welcoming. Events are organised to meet other members of the staff.
My team manager and my tutor were always available to answer my questions and help me out with my work.
You receive tasks and you do as much as you can, if you are stuck on one you can switch to an other, so you're rarely bored and the tasks are well adapted to the level of knowledge of the person assigned.
I had tasks to do, and was free to manage my time and my work on it. I also had a project to run on my own from the start to the end of the development.
My internship became my job, so I would say that it helped me a lot! But I still have things to learn.
The Company
Very good working atmosphere!
Delcam has everything set up for the interns, they have their place in each team and are not rejected in the corner of the room with all the tasks that nobody else wanted!
The tutors are always available to teach you a few things and if you need a training or want to attend to a class, you will get the support of the company.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
Well...got a job with them!
The Culture
There was a really good group of students and colleagues!
You can always find something to do without having to call your bank first. But big cities are never cheap.
In the area wher I worked there was not much at night, but you're only minutes away form the real parties.
You can find loads of activities to do, whatever it is you like, you have a good chance to find a way to do it! And Delcam also organises events and have a few social/sports groups.
