The Role
Being on a placement year meant I was able to experience different areas of the business, and identify the areas i enjoyed the most.
Gaining trust from colleagues is a challenge I faced, however when overcome, it is great to know your opinion matters and is valued by all.
There is always support available - you just have to ask.
Initally, I was not busy - I did not feel streched. After speaking to the relevant people, I was able to take on more and I felt I was being used to my full potential.
Your objectives are real and relevant to the company - you are accountable for your own objectives.
An invaluable expereince - learning the true meaning of time management and prioritisation.
The Company
You become part of the team and build relationships with the people you work with, but there is always work to be done!
The year was well planned with training etc. but there is always room for improvement - feedback is always wanted to ensure the programme is the best it can be.
All training is available to you - it is up to you how much or how little you do.

I would love to come back, and the great thing is there are so many different roles within the company and you are always encouraged to develop yourself.
The Culture
Again, it is all dependant on how much you choose to involve yourself, but you are treated as a member of the team.
As you are not based in central London, it is cheaper, however there are good rail/road links to London.
Good public transport from London ro local areas.
Again, there are opportunites, you have to be proactive about finding them.
