About You
This company really cares about their workers, and I think this is one of the most important factors why I would choose them. Everyone's really supportive, they want you to enjoy your job. Moreover, Schlumberger provide lots of training and if you want - you can travel a lot (this is my favorite bit!). If it turns out you're not really enjoying what you're doing now you can always move to a different sector! This makes the job really interesting.
After Women Insight in Technology programme we all became like friends! We were having dinner together, sharing experiences and getting advice from others. Everyone's really nice there!
Schlumberger really wanted us to understand what they're doing and how they're doing it. That's the most important. We were getting some presentations, we had a chance to ask lots of questions. Also we were introduced to some specific sectors (myself - manufacturing engineering) and see what is done there. In the end we were divided in groups of 4 and had a task - to find out what happened when a drilling tool broke (and this was a real event!). Were given a time limit and lots of information.
The team task taught me time management and leadership skills.
The Company
We had a clear plan of what we were going to do each day and we were following it. Very well structured.
We were having loads of fun with other girls! Feels like I made quite a few friends for life and we still interact with each other!
Training for every job you do here is provided. They've got special schools were they teach everything you need to know. It might look difficult at the beginning but it will all pay off in the end!
Many different people from various backgrounds are working there. Also, there are so many women! It's so interesting and so much fun to be surrounded by all these different cultures and experiences which make Schlumberger a nice big family!
Everything Else
We stayed in amazing hotels and were eating in the best restaurants. Everything was paid for us. Also, they paid all our travelling expenses.
We were having dinner with other employees who shared their experiences. Also after the event each of us was given a mentor.
They celebrate birthdays, play basketball and do lots of fun stuff together!
100% yes!
