  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Found it very interesting and I learnt a lot. It was also good fun as everyone was so welcoming.

    • Felt welcomed and people were interested in all of us, and not just in our academic backgrounds.

    • There was a good balance between support and challenge.

    • The programme is more of an eye-opener for possible employment post degree. But we did learn some interesting things which could be useful.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured, the timetable worked really well.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • Everyone was really nice and good fun, not just the Schlumberger employees, but the other girls as well which made a huge difference.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • There were 12 of us in total and we had 3 hours of job shadowing with an employee each. Many of the big managers were also present for our group challenge. Also should mention the very nice hotel and restaurant food we were given!

    • The Insight Programme was a real eye opener for me, I understand more of the day-to-day responsibilities and challenges faced by the employees.

    • I was convinced that I did not want to be employed in the oil and gas industry, however after this programme I have changed my mind. I am now less sure about which company I would like to work for as Schlumberger is another really good option.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Met so many different people, all from different backgrounds and cultures and with different jobs in the company. I was also given a mentor to contact after the programme.

    • Many different opportunities, feels like a great community.
