The Role
I enjoyed this placement a lot
I felt a respected part of a team through out the year
You could ask anyone anything and they where all willing to help you no matter how silly the question was.
Work load varied on a daily basis, but the balance was about right
By the end of the year I was given quite a lot of responsibility on projects that the company viewed as important.
Skill wise, I believe that this year has vastly improved my technical knowledge, by showing real world applications. I also feel that the important soft skills like communication and teamwork etc. have vastly improved due to the amount of team work that is required for the position.
The Company
The placement is really well set up with regular reviews and organised events throughout the year
I have been sent on a number of courses, ranging from work specific software to a 3 day continuous improvement course. I now have lots of extra things to add to my C.V
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
The placement and graduate schemes are run very close to each other with an chance to get the graduate job after the placement year.
The Culture
Quite a few placements and grads in the office so plenty of people to socialise with
All the roles are based in the East Midlands or Norfolk, so not too expensive.
London is not that far by train.
