About You
It was a very good experience - we had a lot of activities such as presentations, work shadowing and group activities. Overall a learning experience about the firm and the market it operates in
The recruitment team were very encouraging and happy to look after us during our experience. I really enjoyed the interaction I had with the employees of the firm and felt well looked after
We were given guidance during the tasks - in that they gave us instructions on how to undergo the activity. They were also very willing to help us more generally if we had any questions or queries
Learning more about how competitive the market is in general - will be beneficial for my future. In terms of helping with my degree - the skills session and emphasis on team work will be useful
The Company
Great - lots of activities during the day so it was fairly intensive, we managed to learn a lot through various activities so the programme was well scheduled. We had free time in the evenings to relax
Enjoyable but intensive
The firm arranged presentation and their workers took the time to guide and support us throuh groupe exercises - we were also given materials and guidance from the recruitment team
Given, that we were only there for a short period of time it is difficult to say we can undertsnad what a day to day role would be like - but we were given a short glimpse into what work would be like
Very helpful - even if the work is tough the people seem very friendly and down to earth. They seem willing to cooperate with each other and the emphasis on team work was encouraging
I am definitely keen to reapply for barcalys and I will most certaintly keep my eye on its focus throughout my studies - the work shadowing was great for building contacts and repoire as well
Everything Else
Yes, during lunch lots of the employees joined us for the meal so there was ample opportunity to quiz them on their experience. Mainly it was up to you to take advantage of the interaction as much as possible
Could have been longer - so many questions to ask and relatively little time
Yes a bit, mainly sports
Yes, it was very educational and useful - great introduction into the firm and the market as a whole and any experience is useful these days for applying further on in your career path
