About You
Very enjoyable the employees were all very friendly and keen to answer your questions - learnt lots about the firm and we were given several tasks to complete as well, overall a learning experience
Since, it was only an insight day it was difficult to feel 'value' in a long-term sense but we were given lots of advice on applying in the future and they clearly put time/effort into the programme
we were given guidance during the case study activity and many tips on how applying successfully in the future - they were very keen to see us reapply for their future opportunities, workshops/schemes
I am sure the skills such as how to present yourselve in front of an audience and team work skills will be useful in the future particularly, given the group work element for coursework in my degree
The Company
even though this was only an insight day there were many activities thoroughout - it was filled with many events we were given appropriate breaks throughout. It was very well organised and fun
Fun, infomative and lots of information to be learnt
They spent time on us in that employees set aside time to guide us through activities and present presentations or even network with us during lunch. Again, difficult to judge investment during a day
The case study was meant to represent the type of daily activity employees could deal with however, how realistic this is was debatable - I also would have liked to be given an office tour
meeting the workers really helped form an idea of the people culture here and how open and friendly they are - they are more focused on the attributes of an individual and what they can bring to the field
It definitely helped in considering whether this firm was a major contender for my furture applications - by meeting the people/visiting the firm, however would have liked to see more of the work they did
Everything Else
We had opportunities to network over lunch with a range of employees - they were also resourceful in placing a facilitator at each event to direct questions towards at each activity, this was very useful
Good opportunity to network with range of workers - I found it most useful talking to the graduates who had just been recruited about their experiences and how they found it so far, this was more informal
Briefly - sport
I thought this experience was extremely worthwhile - in the sense of learning about the business and the structure of the firm, and also the opportunity to develop skills based on activities and feedback
