The Role
The placement had varied tasks, I received a high degree of responsibility in the Finance team of the account, and overall it was a very dynamic working environment.
Colleagues at Fujitsu make you feel like a valued person, show appreciation for your efforts, and celebrate special occasions, coming together as a team or building friendships.
The managers I worked with, and also my supervisor, were extremely supportive of me undertaking various tasks and gaining exposure of different sides of the business, which is so helpful for a student coming to work in a multi-national company, trying to adapt to the working environment, and give the best of his/her abilities.
There were certain days when there'd be numerous tasks on my ''To Do'' list, but with good time management skills, it's easy to cope with that. Additionally, some days included all-day training, therefore this required catching up with tasks during the next day. But overall, I had a good balance of tasks and time involved.
The forecasting and month-end processes involve a high degree of responsibility, especially when working with numbers at a top level for the account.
The time invested in attending various training courses during my placement year gave me in return skills for life, as I have learned so much from the internal trainers, and I tried to apply those principles to my working life to the best of my abilities.
