The Role
Really interesting meaningful work, with really friendly helpful colleagues
I was treated just like a qualified team member and made really good friends that I met up with outside the workplace.
Help was available whenever I required it and was happily given, no matter how stupid I thought the question to be. They allowed me to get on with work on my own without checking up on me all the time
There has always been things for me to do, I have had to work on a number of projects at once and time management has been required but I have enjoyed it all.
I have been give a lot of responsibility being put in charge of a number of projects, but have always had guidance when needed.
The time management and report writing will help me in my final years of uni and for my future employment prospects
The Company
The office was friendly and quite relaxed, work was a priority but you could take breaks and have a chat and some light hearted humour.
The placement ran very well, there was a few teething problems during the first week where I didn't have access to all the things I needed but these were soon sorted out.
Having only been here for a year I received a decent amount of training to get me up to speed with anything I needed to carry out my job.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Above 25 days holiday
They have just offered me a conditional offer and some support for my final years of university, which is an amazing opportunity for me.
The Culture
There was only 3 undergarduates and we got on but didn't see much of each other outside of work. I however got on really well with all members of staff. They helped me repair and maintain my bike aswell as going for rides with them including a trip to the Isle of Man.
Very good value, I found accomodation that was much better quality and cheaper than my student residence.
There are places to go in Stafford even though it is quite small. It isn't the most happening of places but the main bonus is how easily accessible Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool all are.
I joined a 6 aside football team with collegues from work, and everyone was so friendly that you could find somebody with similar interests that you can take part in outside of work.
