    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really interesting placement. Had a lot of fun as there was a variety of tasks, aims and objectives to fulfill.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is friendly, at work it is very comfortable and less pressured even if you haven't had the time to get to know them. Really welcoming and a great environment is set for new starters every year.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given full support when needed. Have never had to think twice when stuck and the last option is to ask someone who knows. There is always someone at the company who is willing to help you.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Fairly busy on a day to day basis. Aside from the general role, a lot of projects have been proposed and approved to start, also availability to take part in projects helps spend time well and will always benefit the company. There is never nothing you can do.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility. Have proposed ideas to my supervisor and team and it has been reviewed and stated to start. Also I have been left in charge of the site too when team members are off or at another site. To be managing the region we cover alone is always a confidence booster and makes you feel recognized and appreciated.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skill set gained on this placement has helped me develop new skills and further develop existing ones. These skills are all special and will be carried out throughout your lifetime. Will help you in every step of the way from basic skills and situations to advanced and more moderate situations.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very lively but hard working. Atmosphere is very professional.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Well organised up to a point that previous placement students will have come up with a guide on what to train the new placement student.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Invested a lot of time as the previous placement student and team members had come up with plans on how and what to train me on.

    5/5

  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Car

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing, would love to work for them in the future providing a suitable role is applied for.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a good social scene. Very friendly every day, everybody greeting each other and having a laugh. Never feel misplaced but joint in the conversations whilst walking past.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • As living in the actual bigger city and commuting to the business park near the town, it had a great cost but was expensive as living and socializing took place in the city center.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was great, there are many places to go and other cities are in travelling distance by car or train if ever wanted to try somewhere new and stay for the night with friends.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • A lot of opportunities such as playing sports and attending the gym. Also in spare time going for meals and days out.

    5/5
