The Role
Great to finally have some real world experience of engineering.
By the end of placement I fealt like a fully integrated team member.
Generally given a task and left to my own devices carry it out, however support was given when asked for.
Moderately busy most of the time.
Became main point of contact for a major project.
Most of the skills learned are more applicable for the working environment rather than studies, but will help with group projects in university.
The Company
Good fun.
Benefitted from experience in two different departments.
There were a few training days on different topics throughout the year.
Have had an extention to my placement.
The Culture
Many other placements, always someone to hang out with.
Quite normal.
It was good, once you got to know the place better.
Range of activities due to living in a sizeable city.
