The Role
I would highly recommend this internship for anyone looking to get more of an insight into the finance sector within a commercial company. The year was the best experience of my University life and everything that I have learnt is such a strong foundation for my future.
Never felt under-appreciated as an intern. Whether it was a managing director or another assistant, everyone respected each other as though they were working on the same level.
Managers and directors are always there and happy to give guidance where needed but at the same time give you the distance that you need in order to learn independently
Every day I had new and different tasks to work on. The work never was dull or boring and always felt motivated which was heavily influenced by the fast pace working environment in L'Oreal.
Managers give you lots of responsibility and trust you fully with the tasks that they give you.
Learnt things that my degree would never have been able to teach me. Experienced things that will be so valuable when applying for jobs after university.
The Company
There was always something going on. Between new launches happening and budgets being created, there was always something which made the office a fun place to be!
Amazing, there are so many interns and grads that there needs to be good planning and structure to how our year is laid out.
Was great. There was always opportunities to meet up with people from the same department in other divisions and also with HR in order to talk about any issues/ concerns that you may have.

The Culture
yes, there are so many other interns and grads hence there is always something going on and events happening.
In London, the cost of living is very high and on an interns salary it can be quite tough!
Always something to get involved in, no matter what your preference may be for a night out!
It really depends how motivated you are. Of course, in London there are endless opportunities to get involved in Clubs/ Societies and meet new people!
