  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • The people were extremely friendly and always willing to offer advice and help. They did also try and provide me with proper work to be doing, however there is a limit to what a two week vacation second law student can be doing.

    • Both supervisors assigned to me during my placement were always on the lookout for me during the two weeks.

    • The sessions that were run were informative and the tips that employees at all levels gave me will assist me in my future studies as well as in my future career.

    • A good structure with a mix of informative sessions, workshops and office time.

    • A firm which does excellent work and yet maintains a fun and friendly atmosphere, I enjoyed my time.

    • This was my main aim when coming to the firm. I was able to discuss at length with the employees how they enjoyed working at the firm and what their day to day lives were like.

    • The informative sessions provided a clear direction of the firms strategy. This information was very useful when preparing for my presentation and interview.

    • Insights into the life of a slocitor helped me formulate a clearer picture of what it is like to pursue a legal career.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Fair pay, although I am aware other firms with similar schemes pay slightly better.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Two social events were organised as well as open door policy in the firm meant that there was ample opportunities to meet a variety of new people from all areas of the firm .

    • We were not informed of these other opportunities.

    • An enjoyable two weeks in which I have learnt a lot and which will aid me in my future career.
