The Role
Very valuable experience, made some great friends.
Really felt like part of the team and not just a placement student. GSK treat you as they do any other employee.
Regular 1:1 meetings with managers.
Normally very busy with a range of things to do. Time management is essential.
Given good responsibilities including management of a small team of people. Can be up to you to find further responsibility.
Developed really key skills that will be useful at university and in future employment.
The Company
Regular social events with the department, everyone is really friendly and is generally relaxed.
Few problems at the start with laptops but from then on in it was very well organised.
As a placement student you are encouraged to attend all training and development sessions that permenant employee's attend.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I would be very interested in working for GSK again.
The Culture
Lots of events organised by students and the company.
London prices are pricey!
London is such a great place. Loads of things to do. Not enough time to discover it all.
Several volunteering opportunities offered.
