The Role
I really enjoy my placement. The work is relevant and helps me use the knowledge I have learnt at University and put it into practice. The people within the company are great, everyone is willing to help you and will give you advice if you're not sure on something. It so friendly and just in general a great place to work.
I have a good relationship with my colleagues, we help each other and everyone works really well together as a team.
The management, especially my line manager, pushes me in the direction that I want to go in and supports anything that I want to do. It seems as though there is support from all areas to better yourself as this will then in turn improve the business.
Most days I had a perfect balance of work, however, sometimes there was too much or too little. This gave me new skills in time management and planning which will be useful in the future.
I was given quite a bit of responsibility. It was like having a proper job and there was always back up there if you needed it.
I learnt alot whilst on placement and although most of the stuff won't benefit the work aspect of Uni it will aid me in the future when I come to get a job after graduation.
The Company
The work atmosphere is great! There is alot of banter in the office and everyone gets on well.
The placement is set up well and gives students a chance to experience a variety of sections of the business. There are lots of lines of support and overall I think it is run very well.
As of yet I have not been on any courses but I know the options are avaliable if I would like to do them.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Hopefully I will stay on whilst in my final year at Uni one day a week and then possibly a job! We'll see!
The Culture
All the placement students get on well and socialise together when they get the chance. The office is a young place and so everyone gets involved on nights out and not just students.
Same as being a student!
It's a student town so pretty good!
There are option but I didnt take them!
