The Role
The year has flown by, and I believe that it is because of how much I have enjoyed the placement. Monday's are always difficult, but they are made better when you enjoy the work you are doing!
I would say that the people I worked with made this placement what it was for me, I will miss all of my colleagues.
My manager was great, she will be a friend and addvisor for a very long time!
I would say that you can never be too busy, I like busy. If we were having a quiet week I would ask for more work - and there is always more work to be done!
Granted for a lot of projects I reported to my manager, but as the year progresses I was given more and more responsibility, to the point I was running my own projects.
The skills I have learnt for interviews and how to interact with people are unforgettable. Also I have been given lots of report writing advice, and experience that will be brilliant for returning to University.
The Company
We had a great time, all year! But if work needed to be done people respected that and wouldn't be a distraction.
My interview was very late in the year and I believe this made it difficult to be well organised. It wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, it just wasn't seamless.
My manager was brilliant at giving me different opportunities to learn. I probably saw more of the site and learnt more different processes than what the majority of my colleagues ever have.

You can be fastracked, but the application for fast track is quite long.
The Culture
We did the Three Peaks Challenge together!
Definitely not as cheap as uni, but not too expensive. Taxis are expensive - and you need to get a taxi!
It is a quiet town, but there is one place open to 4am - just don't go too often, a few times is probably enough!
The gym mainly, however I believe if you looked for different activities you could find them!
