The Role
A very enjoyable year, met some great people. Learnt a huge amount, not only about my degree subject, but working life in general and how a company works.
Mostly everybody I worked with were very friendly and approachable.
Very Approachable, friendly manager who helped me out a lot.
Had a lot on sometimes, but very little to do at other times which can be a bit boring, particularly towards end of the year.
Quite a lot of the work that I did was quite important to the study team I was working with.
Some work didn't require knowledge I had learnt in first two years of University. But have learnt a fair few things which will defnitely help me in final year.
The Company
Large open plan office - usually quite quiet, but I sat with the other students in our department and we all got along really well.
Had a lot of necessary training.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
A very good company to work for - keeping my options open though.
The Culture
Yes. Go for regular meals and other social events etc.
London prices so fairly expensive, but wages easily cover it.
Quite far out in West London, and locally it isn't very good - but doesn't take long to get into central London which is great, but can be a tad expensive.
Yes. A site events team that I helped out with, putting on lots of social events and doing charity work etc. A lot of fun.
