The Role
Very glad I did a placement year
Felt part of the team - not just a years placement student
Provided good support and additional advice on future career paths etc.
Due to the nature of the department there were big fluctuations sometimes I could be very busy other times not as much - but it balanced out
Responsible for my own project - making decisions on how it progressed and managed day to day work.
Invaluable experience, learnt more in the years placement than I have over three years at University.
The Company
Good atmosphere
Project depended on what was a priority at the time so initially was a bit slow to start.
My supervisors were very keen to aid my personal development.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Currently making people redundant in my department.
The Culture
Always things going on at evenings and weekends - 100+ students on site.
I lived at home.
I lived at home an hour away.
Didn't really look into this.
